As a complement to her independent design work, Amelie works as design production coordinator and senior designer in corporate communications at Mirant, an independent power company in Atlanta. She updates Mirant's intranet and corporate web site and supports numerous corporate communications initiatives by designing, editing, and producing electronic and printed communications such as the annual report, HTML e-mail campaigns, newsletters, presentations, and corporate collateral. Recently she completed work on a redesign of the mirant.com corporate web site to mark the company's emergence from bankruptcy. Another recent project is a redesign of Mirant's corporate intranet, or MiraNet, to improve usability, align it with the corporate web site, and help reinforce the renewal of Mirant's corporate identity.

Previously, Amelie worked for Autodesk, Inc., an international design software company, at their corporate headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area. During that time she designed and produced web graphics and web pages for their corporate web site and created marketing materials and in-product graphics for the internal field sales force and reseller distribution network.

Amelie received a BA magna cum laude in German Literature from Princeton University and studied graphic design at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She is a native German speaker, fluent in French, conversant in Italian, and has lived and traveled extensively in Europe.
